Our Story

The I Can. I Am. Foundation was born from one woman’s journey through hardship — and her decision to turn that experience into hope for others.

Our founder, Stacie Harris, knows firsthand the weight many single mothers carry.

As a young mother of three, she faced overwhelming challenges, including financial instability, learning disabilities, and moments where hope felt desperately out of reach.

But her story didn’t end there.

With support, determination, and a belief that her life could be different, she chose to rise.

Through education, personal growth, and the influence of people who believed in her when she struggled to believe in herself, Stacie rebuilt her life.

What she discovered along the way was powerful:

When a woman receives hope, she can change everything—not just for herself, but for her children and future generations.

That belief became the foundation for something bigger.

In 2020, the I Can. I Am. Foundation was created to ensure that no single mother has to walk her journey alone.

What began as a desire to give back has grown into a thriving community dedicated to supporting single mothers in Utah through educational scholarships, emotional healing, and meaningful connection.

At its heart, this work is about people. It’s about seeing the potential in every mother and the generations to come, even when she can’t yet see it herself.

It’s about creating a space where women feel valued, supported, and empowered to rewrite their stories.

Stacie Harris is a passionate advocate for supporting single mothers through education and community. Drawing from her own experience overcoming poverty as a single mother, she has created a movement that helps women rediscover their strength and build brighter futures. Her leadership continues to inspire hope, empowering families and transforming communities across Utah.

Kallie Jo Harris

Board of Directors

Kallie Jo Harris is a dedicated board member, known for her strong organizational skills and vibrant, people-centered approach. She brings both heart and creativity to her role, helping guide thoughtful decisions and streamline processes that support the Foundation’s growth. Her leadership plays a key role in strengthening the impact and reach of programs that uplift Utah’s single mothers.

Jaden Harris

Jaden Harris is a valued board member, contributing his time and talents to support single mothers on their path to education and stability. He plays an integral role in scholarship selection, helping ensure each recipient is thoughtfully chosen and supported. Through his behind-the-scenes leadership and commitment, Jaden helps bring hope and opportunity to the families the Foundation serves.

Sophia Erickson

Director of Operations

Sophia Erickson combines strategic vision with years of leadership experience and a deep commitment to uplifting women and children. Her passion for meaningful impact is evident in the systems, partnerships, and programs she helps bring to life. Through her leadership, Sophia continues to expand the Foundation’s reach, strengthening both its resources and its community of support.
