To be eligible for this scholarship, you must:
Be a single mother as defined below:
Marital Status - You are a single mother, widowed, divorced, or separated (and divorce is almost final).
Parenting Status - You are the custodial parent or guardian with >50% physical custody of at least one
dependent child as defined below:
child is unmarried and 18 years or younger
child is unmarried, 18-19 years old, and still in high school
child is unmarried, any age, and incapable of self-support due to permanent mental or physical disability
Living Status - You are the only adult in the house with a child, or you live with your parents or relative(s).
Be a resident of Utah at the time of application (may attend online courses or school outside of Utah).
Be a graduate of an accredited high school or have an equivalent GED.
Be accepted and enrolled full-time in a college, university (including graduate & doctoral programs), technical school, or any certificate program that will increase your earning potential to better provide for your family.
Demonstrate financial need for the scholarship and have realistic and attainable educational and career goals.
